Dr. Hasan Basri Göktan holds undergraduate degree in Engineering, Economics and Law as well as a PhD in Economics. He began his professional career in 1973 at Türkiye Şeker Fabrikaları A.Ş. and served as the Chairman of Board of Directors and General Manager of Sugar Beet Cooperatives (Pankobirlik) from 1983 to 1993. Dr. Göktan concurrently served as General Manager of Sugar Beet Cooperatives and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Şekerbank T.A.Ş. and Konya Şeker Fabrikası A.Ş. from 1988 until 1993. Under his leadership, Konya Şeker Fabrikası A.Ş. was successfully privatized - a first in the Turkish sugar industry. Dr. Göktan also briefly served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yüksel İnşaat A.Ş. alongside his role as General Manager of Şekerbank T.A.Ş. and the member of the Board of Directors of Türkiye Şeker Fabrikaları A.Ş. between 1993 and 2002. Dr. Göktan also served as General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Şekerbank T.A.Ş. from 2002 until 2007. On February 1, 2008, Dr. Göktan assumed the position of Chairman of the Boards of Directors of Şekerbank T.A.Ş. and its financial subsidiaries; in addition, he currently serves as the Executive Board of Directors Member of Şekerbank T.A.Ş.
Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors
In 1985 graduated from Alma-Ata Institute of the National Economy as an engineer-economist and received his law degree in 2004 from Taraz State University. From 1987 to 1996, he worked on different positions in the field of accounting and finance in Kordai District of Dzhambul region. From 1996 to 2008, he held various top-management positions at Tax Authorities of Almaty-city and Center for Judicial Economics Expertise under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The period between 2008 - 2014 he worked as a Head of Tax Department of Almaty Region and Head of Tax Department of city of Almaty. He served as Head of administration of the Mayor of city of Almaty from 2014 to 2015. During the period from 2015 to 2018, he worked as the Managing director of the "Astana Expo-2017" National Company. Since January 2018 he serves as a Managing director for economics and finance (CFO) at the National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna". In March 2018, he was appointed as a Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Şekerbank T.A.Ş.
Executive Board Member, Acting General Manager
Mr. Nariman Zharkinbayev graduated from T. Ryskulov Kazakh Economics University, with degrees in International Economy and International Relations. From 2002 to 2008, he has worked in various positions and companies in Kazakhstan and abroad including BTA Bank JSC, Alliance Bank JSC, GarantiBank International N.V., since May 2008 he joined BTA Bank JSC as Head of the Financial Institutions Department. In November 2012, Mr. Zharkinbayev was appointed as the Member of the Board of Directors at Şekerbank T.A.Ş.Zharkinbayev was appointed to Şekerbank T.A.Ş. as Deputy General Manager on 27.04.2020.
Board Of Directors
Mr. Çetin Aydın is a graduate of Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. He joined Şekerbank in 1988 as an Assistant Internal Auditor and has held several positions within the Bank. Mr. Aydın has served as Executive Vice President between the years 2005 and 2016. He has appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors at Şekerbank T.A.Ş. General Assembly held on March 2018.
Born in 1959 in Trabzon, Yusuf Tuna graduated from the Department of Economics – Finance of the Academy of Financial Sciences and Accounting of Ankara Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences. He is continuing his career he started as a Research Assistant at the Department of Economic Policy of the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University in 1982 as an Academic Member in Istanbul Commerce University. He has taken charges in the positions of membership of SDIF and BRSA. Taking charge as the Non-Executive Director at Şeker Finansal Kiralama A.Ş., Tuna has been elected to be the Member of the Board of Directors of Şekerbank T.A.Ş. in its General Assembly of the Bank held in June of 2020
Aidar Ryskulov graduated from the Department of Finance and Credit at Karaganda State University in 2002. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Nazarbayev University. Between 2003-2012 he worked in various positions in ATF Bank JSC, Bank Center Credit JSC, Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and National Holding KazAgro JSC in Kazakhstan. Between the years 2012and2014 he served as Manager of Financial Assets Department at Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk Kazyna JSC and since 2014 he has been serving as Manager of Corporate Finance Department. In March 2017, he was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Şekerbank A.Ş.
Almat Zhamiyev, graduated from the Faculty of Law of Al Farabi National University of Kazakhstan in 2001 (with honors). He holds Master of Laws (LL.M) degree (with honors) in the same university. He worked at ATF Bank JSC between 2003-2004 and at Transtelecom JSC between 2004-2005. He worked as legal counsel at Kazkommertsbank JSC between 2005-2008 (also acting as a member of Credit Committee). Since 2008, he has been working as a lawyer at the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and was appointed as the Head of Legal in 2012. Also he is a member of the Credit Committee of Samruk-Kazyna JSC. In March 2017, he was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Şekerbank A.Ş.
Born in Van in 1967, Levend Torusdağ graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Engineering Faculty in Erciyes University. He served duty at Türkiye Halk Bankası A.Ş. in the positions of Engineer, Principal Engineer, Department Manager, Branch Manager, Head of Department, Regional Coordinator and Deputy General Manager responsible for SME and Artisan Banking and retired on 19 October 2018. Having served duties as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Halk Faktoring A.Ş., Chairman of the Board of Directors at Halkbank AD Skopje between the years of 2016 – 2018, Torusdağ has been elected to be the Member of the Board of Directors of Şekerbank T.A.Ş. in its General Assembly of the Bank held in June of 2020.
Born in 1967 in Kahramanmaraş, Mehmet Ertürkmen completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Anadolu University in 1987. Having begun his career as Assistant Inspector in the Committee of Inspection of Ziraat Bankası in 1991, Ertürkmen took charges in many high level positions such as Chief of Department and Head of Department until 2014. He took part in the founding team of Ziraat Katılım Bankası in 2014 and continued his duty there as the Chairman of the Committee of Inspection between the years of 2015 – 2016. Having taken charge also in the position of Branch Office Manager at Ziraat Bankası between 2016 – 2019, Ertürkmen became Deputy General Secretary in Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality in 2019. He is currently continuing this duty of his at the Municipality and has been elected to be the Member of the Board of Directors of Şekerbank T.A.Ş. in its General Assembly of the Bank held in June of 2020.

Graduation from Marmara University, Department of Business Administration, A.Hakan Eken started his career as Auditor at Yapı Kredi Bank in 1986. He worked as Senior Manager for many years as Vice Chairman of the Inspection Board, Credit-Risk Management Department Head at Yapı Kredi Bank, Head of Inspection Board at Yapı Kredi Moscow and Executive Vice President of Credit and later he served as CFO and CEO at tourism and media companies. He joined Şekerbank as Vice President of Credit Monitoring in September 2014. Later he promoted to Group Head of Credit Monitoring and Follow-Up. He was appointed as Executive Vice President at Şekerbank T.A.Ş. in April 2014. Since 19 December 2016, A.Hakan Eken has been working as Executive Vice President of Credit Management at Şekerbank T.A.Ş.
Born in 1961, Mr. Salih Zeki Önder is a graduate of California State University, Department of International Business and Marketing and has a minor in Economics. Over the course of his professional career, he has worked at various private banks. Since 2002, Mr. Önder has served as the Executive Vice President of Financial Institutions at Şekerbank.
Mr.Tolga Şenefe graduated from İstanbul University, Department of Economics in 1990, and received his master’s degree in finance from Marmara University in 1993. He served as an Assistant Inspector, at Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE), Board of Inspectors, from 1992 to 1995, as a Supervisor, at Alfa Menkul Değerler A.Ş., Treasury Department, from 1995 to 1997, as a Manager, at Ulusal Bank A.Ş., Treasury Department, from 1997 to 2000, as a Deputy General Manager and Director, at Ulusal Yatırım A.Ş., from 2000 to 2003, as a General Manager, at Ziraat Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş., from 2004 to 2006, as a Project Manager, at Helix Management Danışmanlık, from 2006 to 2007, as a Department Head, at Anadolubank A.Ş., Treasury Department, from 2007 to 2011 and as an Executive Vice President of Treasury at ABank from 2011 to 2016. Mr. Tolga Şenefe was appointed as an Executive Vice President of the Board of Directors at Şekerbank T.A.Ş. in May 2016.
Having completed her undergraduate degree at the Ankara University Faculty of Communication, Aybala Şimşek, holds two master's degrees, an MBA from the Istanbul Bilgi University Business School and in Financial Strategy from the University of Oxford Said Business School. Şimşek is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School General Management Program. Having served as Vice President of the Corporate Communications Department at Şekerbank T.A.Ş between 2007-2013, Aybala Şimşek was promoted as a Group Head in 2013 and also undertook the duties of Strategy, Sustainable Development Banking and the Micro Finance Project. In April 2016, Şimşek was appointed as Executive Vice President for Şekerbank T.A.Ş and her areas of responsibility currently comprises Şekerbank’s Strategy, Human Resources, CRM & Risk Analytics, Sustainable Development Banking, Process Development, Digital Banking and Corporate Communications Departments. Since June 2018, Şimşek has been leading Şekerbank’s Digital Transformation Program, in which the banks’ technological infrastructure and processes are being optimized and digitalized from end-to-end.
Born in 1975. Mr. Hüseyin Üst graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, at the Department of Finance. Mr. Üst started his career in Şekerbank as Assistant Specialist in 1995. After he served as Assistant Auditor and Senior Auditor between 1996 and 1999, he worked as a Marketing Manager, Branch Vice President and Regional Director. He was appointed as an Executive Vice President at Şekerbank T.A.Ş. in November 2017.
Graduation from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics (English) in 2004, Burak Latif Latifoğlu started his career as an Administrative Law Judge in 2005. Afterwards, he joined to the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) and resigned from his position as under the title of Chief Sworn Bank Auditor in 2017, which he started in 2006 as a Certified Bank Auditor. Meanwhile, in Turkey and abroad in numerous banks and non-bank financial institutions has carried out audits and served as the Audit Group President and Vice Chairman in the years 2014-2017. Between October 2017 and September 2019, Latifoğlu served as the General Manager of Şeker Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. He was appointed as an Executive Vice President at Şekerbank T.A.Ş. in October 2019.
Çiğdem Ünsal was graduated from Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics in 1995.
She started her banking career in 1995 as a specialist in the Management Training Program at Yapı ve Kredi Bank.
In 1998, she started working in Türk Ekonomi Bankası as responsible for Human Resources Projects. Until 2006, she worked in all processes and projects of Human Resources and worked as human resources compensation and performance management senior manager. As of 2006, she was Human Resources Strategic Planning, Organizational Development and Compensation Management Director. She promoted as Group Director responsible for the management of all human resources processes in 2015. In October 2020, she appointed as Human Resources Coordinator in TEB Holding responsible for all TEB Group Companies. In February 2021, she joined Şekerbank Family as Human Resources Executive Vice President.
Graduating from Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Finance, Şükrü Tuğbay Kumoğlu started his banking career as a Customer Relations Manager of SME Banking at Garanti Bank in 1999. Kumoğlu served as Garanti Bank Ortaklar branch manager between 2005 and 2006, and then served as the Regional Manager at Turks Ekonomi Bankası A.Ş. (TEB). Between 2013 and 2018, he served as a Member of the Board of Directors responsible for the expansion of retail banking activities in TEB Sha Kosovo, and finally served as the TEB Retail Banking Sales and Call Center Group Director. Şükrü Tuğbay Kumoğlu was appointed as Assistant General Manager for Şekerbank Retail and Agriculture Banking in December 2019.
