Şekerbank To Offer Long Term Resource Amounting to 15 Million Euro to Priority Development Provinces.

Şekerbank’s 55-year experience in supporting the small and medium scale enterprises continues to draw attention on the international arena. Şekerbank signed a framework agreement with KfW Entwicklungsbank in the Second Phase of the Small Enterprises Loan Programme - SELP II of the European Union. According to this framework agreement, a supplementary agreement was signed for a 4-year loan amounting to 15 million Euro. The said loan shall be used in financing of small scale enterprises in 49 priority development provinces. .


Always having supported the enterprises and entrepreneurs, Şekerbank provides more intensive financial resources to the tradesmen, farmers and small scale enterprises within the scope of the Second Phase of Small Enterprises Loan Programme-SELP II of the European Union. For this purpose, a supplementary agreement was signed in addition to the framework agreement signed between Şekerbank and the German Investment Bank KfW Entwicklungsbank. The supplementary agreement aimed at providing of a 4-year loan amounting to 15 million Euro was signed on 19th December 2008. The said loan will be used to finance the small scale enterprises in 49 priority development provinces.

Having stated that they will be able to provide higher amounts of financial resources to the tradesmen, farmers and small scale enterprises thanks to the supplementary agreement signed with KFW, Şekerbank’s General Manager Meriç Uluşahin said; “As an expert in financing of the micro and small scale enterprises, Şekerbank contributes to the non-financial sector and economy by generating solutions for these enterprises and supporting the enterprises and the entrepreneur.
