Şekerbank Açıkekran New Media Arts Gallery is hosting a special selection composed of the animated works of Kerem Ozan Bayraktar, one of the young video artists. “Minor Perceptions”, the latest exhibition of Bayraktar who centers the works with digital images, motion pictures and object edits in all his works, will appear before art-lovers with 4 videos under Ali Akay's curation.

In his selected videos “Minor Perceptions”, Kerem Ozan Bayraktar points out a quiet motion. The velocity and slowness relations of the images reveal the “minor perceptions”. The video works that want to feature a spectator who hears the action before motion itself in a sense are making us perceive a motion smaller than small in another sense. In the video named “An Opening Ceremony For a Public Statue”, the harmony and motion are interacting with each other, engaged in a power relationship, a relation of ‘capturing’, with each other. In the works called “Fan Without Propeller” and “A Music Video For a Requiem”, the space stands out, while the action shows itself silently. The perceptions, on the other hand, appear each time as "minor perceptions".

In order to take a short break in the perception of the urbanite, to whom speed means too many things in today's vibrant life, and make room in this huge and chaotic world for perceptions, small in size but huge in effect, the “Minor Perceptions” exhibition will be open for visits in the Açıkekran New Media Arts Gallery in Teşvikiye until March 14.

Simultaneously with the “Minor Perceptions” exhibition, the artist's video work "Unveiling Ceremony for a Public Sculpture" can be seen 24/7 in Şekerbank branches in Feneryolu-Istanbul, Küçükesat and Çankaya in Ankara, Alpullu-Kırklareli, Ordu, Izmir, Bodrum, Mardin and Edirne.
